ABOUT ME

I almost went to law school. Instead, I stumbled into a student summer painting franchise and fell in love with coaching and leading people.

Ultimately, this led me through 10+ years in franchising, climbing from general manager to senior vice president. Eventually, I intentionally chose coaching as the path because I realized the part of business I loved most wasn’t running the business itself, but helping the people running it to think differently, see what they couldn’t see, and become better leaders.

One of the strengths I’ve come to recognize in myself is an ability to see what others often miss: the thing hiding in plain sight, the pattern underneath the problem, the assumption getting in the way, or the connection between things that don’t initially seem related. My role is to bring that perspective into the room, ask the questions that haven’t yet been asked, and help owners see their business, their people, and sometimes themselves a little differently. Then, importantly, we figure out what to do with that new perspective.

Outside of coaching, I’m a husband, a dad, a traveller. I love a good road trip, skiing, great restaurants, and experiences that feel a little different from the usual. I’m also genuinely curious about people, human behaviour, politics, and the strange ways we make decisions.

Ultimately, I’m interested in the intersection of business and life. Building a great company is worthwhile. Building one that creates a better life for the people behind it is even more interesting.
